New video IO module brings extra video processing features

26.07.2022

The logiR-GMSL2C-295A-296A-V3, Xylon’s new video IO module for the logiRECORDER Automotive HIL Video Logger brings new video processing features, specifically tailored for building data sets for Machine Learning and AI implementations.

The module integrates a run-time High Dynamic Range Image Signal Processing (HDR ISP) pipeline for immediate color processing of input raw video data from monochromatic automotive cameras. The ISP pipeline enables logging of color-processed videos suitable for neural networks trainings.

The board also includes a lossy video compression engine that saves storage space and enables longer data session recordings. New features are user-controllable and easily switched on and off through the logiRECORDER Dashboard application.

The logiR-GMSL2C-295A-296A-V3 has two video inputs and two video outputs compatible with the Maxim Integrated GMSL2 automotive serial interface. It enables data logging of native video formats and easy data injection of recorded camera data in realistic Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulations.
